Composer/Pianist Youshin Gim was Born in 1997 at Yeongwol, Republic of Korea. He studied Piano since 2004, later he studied Composition since 2008.

Overall, his works are structured around the temporal flow derived from natural phenomena or data, delving much deeper into social and political contexts to evoke satire and criticism. He often adds dramatic elements to classical musical forms. His recent pieces, Inner Voice I and Inner Voice II, explore the flow and relationships of the human inner self through music, portraying confrontation and communication between instruments. Among them, Inner Voice II draws more heavily on political and social contexts, creating a dramatic interplay between two pianos that seem to clash and collide. The piece evokes a sense of drifting aimlessly in a world flooded with unverified information.

Youshin's music presented festivals and conferences such as ISCM Pan Music Festival Korea, Poznańska Wiosna Muzyczna, Tongyeong Academy 2024 (Unsuk Chin & Dieter Ammann),Slovenia Composer Society 2019/20 Ljubljana(Moderator Nina Šenk), St. Petersburg Int. Contemporary Music Festival and Barcelona Modern 22 etc. Also he worked with numerous music group such as Klangforum Wien(Cond. Arturo Tamayo), Emmanuelle Ophèle(Ensemble Intercontemporain), Filharmonia Poznańska, Ensemble EINS, Ensemble E-MEX, Hashtag Ensemble, MDI Ensemble, Mivos Quartet, SONOR XXI Ensemble, Mariel Roberts(Member of Wet Ink Ensemble), Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra, Omsk Symphony Orchestra, Syntagma Duo, Contemporary Art Music Project etc.

Currently he residing at Europe and Korea, The arranger and pianist of The Road of Classic and Festival Director of Yeongwol Contemporary Music Festival since 2022.

작곡가 김유신은 1997년 대한민국 강원도 영월 출생으로 2004년부터 피아노를 그리고 2008년부터 작곡을 공부했다.

대체적으로 그의 작품은 자연 현상에서얻어지는 결과값 또는 데이터를 바탕으로 시간적 흐름을 설계하고, 사회 또는 정치적 맥락을 훨씬 더 깊게 파고들어 풍자와 비판을 끌어내어 고전적 형태의 음악형태에서 극적인 요소를 많이 부가한다. 최근 그의 작품인 <내면의 목소리 I> <내면의 목소리 II>는 인간의 내면적 형태에 대한 흐름과 관계를 음악에 대입하여 악기와 악기의 대립과 소통을 그려내기도 하며,그 중에서 <내면의 목소리 II>는 훨씬 더 정치-사회적 맥락을 통해 두 대의 피아노가 서로 대립되고 마찰하는 듯한 극적인 연주법을 만들어내고,진위가 가려지지 않은 정보의 세계속에서 정신없이 표류하는 듯한 느낌을 준다.

그의 작품은 ISCM 범음악제, 포즈난 춘계음악제, 통영 TIMF 아카데미 (감독 진은숙, 디터 암만), 슬로베니아 작곡가 협회 정기 연주회, 상트페테르부르크 국제음악제와 바르셀로나 모던 22 등 세계 각지의 음악제 및 컨퍼런스에서 연주되었다. 또한 그는 클랑포룸 빈(아르투로 타마요), 에마뉘엘 오펠레(앙상블 앵태르콩탱포랭), 포즈난 필하모닉, 앙상블 아인스, 앙상블 E-MEX, 해시태그 앙상블, MIVOS 현악사중주단, 소노르 21 앙상블, 마리엘 로베르츠(Wet Ink Ensemble 멤버), 불가리안 교향악단, 옴스크 오케스트라, 신타그마 듀오, Contemporary Art Music Project 등 여러 연주자들과 협업하였다.

현재 그는 유럽 및 한국에 거주 중이며, The Road of Classic의 전속 편곡가이자 피아니스트 겸 영월현대음악제 음악감독으로 활동중이다.
